Andy Pettitte Files For Free Agency

Today Andy Pettitte filed for free agency today  The Yankees have until Thursday to take advantage of their  negotiating rights with Pettitte.   Andy has said he wants a one year contract and wants to return to the Yankees.   As I wrote a few days ago, (Should The Yankees Sign Andy Pettitte? Yes!) sign him up already.

Other stuff:

Congrats to Willie Randolph,  the new bench coach for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Big ceremony yesterday at both stadiums.  Some local Bronx students and ex-Yankee players moved dirt from old stadium to new… from the pitchers mound and home plate area.   Nice.    Hope it brings good luck!
